Sliding doors fail in the same way most cars do — the rolling parts wear out long before the rest. Worn rollers drop the door onto the track, the door starts catching at one end, and within a year you're lifting the door to slide it. We replace rollers (and the track if it's pitted) and the door slides smoothly again.
Bi-fold doors are a different beast. They have top tracks, bottom guides, intermediate hinges, and flush bolts that all interact. Usually one element is failing and pushing the others out of alignment. We diagnose and fix the actual cause.
Sliding-door rollers are one of those things every house needs eventually. We carry the common roller profiles in the van, so most jobs are diagnosed and fixed in one visit. No "we'll order the part and come back next month".
